ATLYSS Lexicon Guide: Locations & Lore Entries

The Lexicon is a core gameplay mechanic in ATLYSS that reveals important lore and story elements through text excerpts found at specific locations throughout the world of ATLYSS. These discoveries help players understand the rich backstory and mysteries of the game.

In ATLYSS, Lexicon entries are primarily discovered through ancient stone tablets with mystical engravings. When players approach these tablets, their Lexicon will glow to indicate a new entry can be accessed by pressing the Open Lexicon (T) key.

Sanctum

Location: Southern Sanctum Entrance

As stray souls fall to the whims of darkness, they will be given another chance to prove themselves again.

Location: Sanctum Tower Library

The creation of this world, "Atlyss", was a divine solution to give the dead another chance to prove themselves worthy to live and prosper. Once proven, they are given a choice to stay or rest eternally.

Before the Shattering, the world held the former pieces of the land together in mystical stitches. I must find ways to salvage this form at the best of my ability... Or else no living being here will never find a way to leave where they are.

The "Sky Whale", an ancient God of the world, seems to have had some influence in the foundation of the mystic energies that surround us. Could it be possible that the Guardians have formed from it?

Mystic Study A1 - "Prism": Ancient beings who pre-dated our existance as Guardians used this method to protect themselves from the evil spirits who roamed during the night. Unfortunately, they now exist as the undead within the Catacombs.

Mystic Study A2 - "Imbue": It seems the arcane magics collaborate to form into Spirits when quickly clumped together. These Spirits unleash a tethered boon of power from the Guardian to the Caster. The appearance of the Spirit changes depending on the Guardian's appearance.

Mystic Study A3 - "Cross": Volatile arcane magic meshed into an orb of powerful force. I believe this spell was used to disorient foes and make them more vulnerable to the pain of death magic... 3y ancient scriptures, this spelll was a ritual used as an act of discipline.

For the souls who have traversed this world, they will reside within this tomb forever if they have both given up and not proven themselves worthy for redemption.

The former morality of the dead who rest here spanned the intentions of good and evil. Now they will no longer hear the voices of lawful reason, but only of chaotic madness.
